She was originally a lowly dowry maid, but luckily rose to power after the death of the female lead, becoming the official wife of a minister. Many years later, she helped her husband declare himself emperor and establish the country, and herself became the founding queen. This incredibly legendary woman is Empress Song Fujin of the Southern Tang Dynasty. Song Fujin was born in the late Tang Dynasty and was rescued by the governor of Shengzhou, Wang Rong, during his exile. He was incorporated into the government and became a maid.

Unconsciously, Song Fujin had been living in the royal palace for many years. At this time, Jiangdong had entered the era of Southern Wu, and the powerful minister Xu Wen was in charge of the court. His adopted son Xu Zhigao, who had set his sights on the young lady of the Wang family, sent someone to propose marriage to Wang Rong. However, although Miss Wang was willing to marry, she was reluctant to leave her personal maid Song Fujin, so she became a dowry maid. Wang half asked her to also serve Xu Zhigao. After serving Xu Zhigao for a short time, she gave birth to a son for him, who later became Li Jing, the ruler of the Southern Tang Dynasty.
In the following years, Wang unfortunately passed away early, and Xu Zhigao helped Song Fujin become the official wife. After becoming the female lead of the Xu family, Song Fujin had a strict approach to managing household affairs and was a rare “virtuous wife helper”.
In the following ten years, Xu Zhigao successively removed the power of Xu Wen’s parents and children, and executed or exiled all those who disagreed with him in the court, ultimately completing the cause of usurping the throne and building the country. In 937 AD, Xu Zhigao forced Emperor Yang Pu of Southern Wu to abdicate, changed the country’s name to Qi, and proclaimed himself emperor. Two years later, Xu Zhigao restored his original surname Li and changed his name to Li Yang. At the same time, he corrected the country’s name to Tang, which was historically known as Southern Tang.

After Li Yang proclaimed himself emperor, she officially proclaimed Song Fujin as the empress. Her dowry girl soared to fame and became the female lead of the world, making her life a legend.
