Hello everyone, this is the history encyclopedia editor. Today, I will tell you the story of An Lushan. Welcome to follow.

In the eyes of many people, An Lushan, the military governor who instigated the An Lushan Rebellion and almost overthrew the Tang Dynasty, should be a fearless leader. But in fact, An Lushan is extremely afraid of someone, even though this person once highly praised him. This person is Li Linfu, the prime minister during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. What is An Lushan afraid of Li Linfu for? Was he afraid that Li Linfu would say in front of Emperor Xuanzong that he would rebel?
An Lushan first met Li Linfu, not with the feeling of a mouse seeing a cat, but with a haughty attitude, completely ignoring Li Linfu. However, when Li Linfu met An Lushan several times and expressed his innermost thoughts, and every time Li Linfu said exactly what An Lushan was thinking, An Lushan became afraid.
So, why is An Lushan afraid that Li Linfu will guess his true feelings? The reason is that An Lushan wants to rebel. An Lushan must relax Tang Xuanzong’s vigilance if he wants to rebel. One is to make Emperor Xuanzong of Tang feel at ease and entrust him with the role of the military governor of Sanzhen. Secondly, all regions and the capital should relax their vigilance and not be wary of him. In this way, as long as he rebels, he can run all the way to Chang’an uncontrollably. An Lushan used smoke bombs to relax Tang Xuanzong’s vigilance. It can be said that the smoke bombs scattered by An Lushan were very successful, and Emperor Xuanzong of Tang really did not doubt him.

Li Linfu’s ability and influence in the court are what An Lushan fears the most. In the twelfth year of the Tianbao era (753 AD), Li Linfu passed away due to illness. Li Linfu had just died, and the person he feared the most finally died. An Lushan had no more concerns and immediately rebelled. An Lushan and Yang Guozhong united to falsely accuse Li Linfu of colluding with the Tiele people Abusi in rebellion. However, Tang Xuanzong, who was old and foolish, actually believed it. Therefore, Tang Xuanzong pursued the official title of Li Linfu. Although Li Linfu’s fate as a traitor was not good in the end, after his death, no one could subdue An Lushan, who held a heavy army. Yang Guozhong was no match for this barbarian general, and An Lushan did not take Yang Guozhong seriously.
In fact, as long as everyone is sitting comfortably, there is no need to fear anyone. An Lushan is like this, showing too much impatience, which is why he was caught by Li Linfu.
