When it comes to Zhu Wen, what does everyone think of? Below, the History Encyclopedia editor will introduce relevant historical events to you.
Zhu Wen: The first emperor of the Liang Dynasty during the Five Dynasties period. He participated in the Huangchao Uprising in his early years and later left the Huangchao Great Qi regime and returned to the Tang Dynasty. Later, he was given the name Zhu Quanzhong by the Tang court,
Finally, he seized the throne of Emperor Ai of Tang through abdication, proclaimed himself emperor on behalf of Tang, established the country as Liang, changed the era name to Kaiping, and became known as Later Liang in history. From then on, the Tang Dynasty ended its 289 year rule, and Chinese history entered the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
It is said that Zhu Wen was able to achieve such success, inseparable from his virtuous wife Zhang Huimi. However, Zhang Hui fell ill and passed away before Zhu Wen destroyed the Tang Dynasty and built the Later Liang Dynasty. Before her death, Zhang Huilin said to Zhu Wen, “You are outstanding in your martial arts, and I can rest assured of everything else. However, sometimes unjustly killing subordinates and indulging in alcohol and sex make people worry. Therefore, the four words’ stop killing distant women ‘must be remembered! If you agree, then I can go with peace of mind. ”
But unexpectedly, Zhu Wen still couldn’t achieve the goal of “avoiding killing distant women”, and in his later years, he even crazily extended his claws to his son’s wives. When the sons were away, they often summoned their daughters in law to the palace. Although his son knew, he was willing to let his wife serve him in order to compete for the throne.
In the second year of Qianhua (912 AD), Zhu Wen was finally killed by his family member Zhu Yougui. Zhu Yougui personally wrapped Zhu Wen in a blanket and buried him in the sleeping hall. He passed away at the age of 61.
