When Li Chengqian fell from power, Li Tai became the most popular candidate for the crown prince. Li Tai felt that Li Zhi posed a slight threat to his position as crown prince and warned him to be honest. Li Zhi felt that Li Tai’s warning could be used, so he deliberately appeared worried in front of Li Shimin. Li Shimin asked him what was going on, but Li Zhi refused to say. Li Shimin was moved by his son’s filial piety and immediately ordered funding to build the Dacien Temple. After the completion of the Dacien Temple, we respectfully invite Master Xuanzang to serve as the first abbot of the temple. Li Shimin personally attended the grand ceremony of Master Xuanzang’s abbot of the temple. Li Zhi seized the opportunity to perform the Weeping Nose Technique in memory of his mother Empress Wende, and as a named disciple, he became a disciple of Master Xuanzang.

When Li Shimin saw that the obedient son was still so filial, he authorized Li Zhi to grant amnesty to the world and pray for blessings for the mother. The other one is Uncle Changsun Wuji. Li Zhi wants Uncle to know that you have to protect me, and I am the guarantee of your family’s prosperity and wealth. Li Zhi’s cry had a great effect. Changsun Wuji defended him to the death, and Li Shimin didn’t want to change the crown prince anymore.
